Matt primarily has a photographic background having worked for the sports
photo agency Allsport Photographic from 1984 as a Picture Editor and Library Manager. Within the role Matt was fortunate enough
to follow the England Ashes tour of Australia 90/91 and World Cup 1992 in a capacity of picture editor/technician, wiring images
back for National newspapers in the UK.
With a great passion for cricket this gave Matt working closely alongside England
cricketers, an insight into the daily routine of an international cricketer. After various roles within Sales at Getty Images
Matt is currently developing and growing the In-Touch Cricket Academy as a UKCC Level 3 Head Coach. Matt has played club
cricket for Mitcham, Ashford, Reigate Priory, Ashtead and is a current MCC playing member.
Kieron Vorster - Strength and Conditioning Coach
Kieron is the current CEO for The David Lloyd Tennis Academy where his roles include
the structure/strategy for the Academy, recruitment of the best coaches in Tennis, running of the day to day operation and
management of staff within the Academy. An ex Tennis professional Kieron is a highly qualified strength and conditioning coach
(Registry of Exercise Professionals Advanced Instructor Level 3) who has previously
worked as a personal fitness coach for both Tim Henman and Wayne Ferreira, as well as a stint as the Head of Strength and
Conditioning for the Lawn Tennis Association. Through a mutual passion for cricket and coaching elite performers, Kieron and
Matt have teamed up to take the In-Touch Cricket
Academy to the top level.
David Nash - Academy Coach
Nashy is a current Middlesex pro having made his 1st class debut in 1997 as a batsman/keeper
and scored his first hundred at the home of cricket 'Lords' v Somerset. Educated at Malvern College, Nashy represented
England at U14, U15, U17 & U19 level and was a member of the England A side which toured Sri Lanka in 1997-98. As a qualified
coach Nashy's exuberant attitude combined with a wealth of experience at the top level of the game (5532 1st class
runs / 281 ct / 23 st) will bring a new dimension to the In-Touch Cricket Academy working with our elite performers.
John Basey - Academy Coach
John is from a Property Maintenance background and started out his working career in 1981 as a Gas Fitter, he has since
moved forwards within his industry and now works for 'Axis Europe Plc' as an Operations Manager. He has been involved in playing
Sport since the age of seven and at the age of 21 began his Semi-Professional Footballer career with Fisher Athletic, he spent
most of his Cricket career with Hurlingham CC, playing in the 'Slazenger Surrey Cricket League' where he progressed to being
selected to play for the League Representative side, John has since moved on to play for Addiscombe CC and has been actively
involved in the Coaching of their Junior Cricket Section over the last few years, he is also a UKCC Level 2 Cricket Coach
and is looking forward to help with the progression and development of In-Touch Cricket Academy.
